A lingerie expert has taken to TikTok to demonstrate the proper way to put a bra on – and it looks like we’ve all been getting it wrong.
Kelly, an employee at Janice Rose Lingeries in Newark, Nottingham, shared a clip of herself trying on a bra multiple common ways – before showing the correct method.
To start, she yanks it over her head and tugs it on before saying “no no no”.
Next up she tries climbing into the bra from floor height before again confirming this isn’t correct.
Kelly then uses the common method of fastening the clasps with the bra on back-to-front before pulling it into place – before again saying “no no no”.

Finally, she shows the proper method – showing the bra already on with the back unfastened, before leaning down awkwardly and placing her hands behind her back to secure it into place.
While the video went viral, racking up 7.4 million views and 150,000 likes, viewers were left stunned in the comments section.
One person said: “Janice i am physically incapable of doing it the last way, so it’s a no no no from me.”
“Well Janice some of us are incapable of doing that,” another user commented.
Someone else said: “Don’t no no no me janice 2nd to last is always right.”
“No that’s the hardest way to put it on,” another viewer insisted.
Another person added: “I don’t have eyes on the back of my head.”
“I don’t have the mental skills to clip at the back,” joked someone else.

Janice Holmes, founder of Janice Rose Lingerie, had a few words for the critics.
She said: “Our TikTok video shows a back fastening bra, which should be fastened at the back to stop the stretching of the underband.
“This is in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and designed to help prolong the life of the bra.
“There are other styles of bras without back fasteners which have to be pulled over the head.
“These fabrics are designed to be pulled and stretched, but the breast support will not be as great.”
